# Predict the Worlds

In Predict the Worlds, a $250,000 prize pool awaits those trading on the League of Legends World Championship.

In this activity, you’ll place predictions on LoL markets (both pre-match and in-match). Doing so will earn you **Lootboxes** at the end of every match, which you’ll open up after the Final to reveal your prizes.

## Worlds Structure

LoL Worlds runs from **October 15** to **November 14**.

19 top teams from around the globe will battle it out across three stages, with the anticipated dates as follows:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## October 15–18 (Play-Ins)

Four teams will play Bo5, double elimination, with only one team advancing to the next round.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## October 23–31 (Swiss Stage)

16 teams go in, with only eight progressing. Three wins to advance, and three losses to get eliminated.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## November 3–14 (Knockouts)

The remaining eight teams are whittled down to one winner across Quarterfinals, Semifinals and the Final.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## How to Participate

Both on-site and API trades will count towards your Predict the Worlds performance. All you need to do to sign up is hit **Join Now** on the [activity page](https://predict.fun/lol-worlds).

During the match, you’ll want to trade relevant match markets. Pre-match markets affect your performance too, but in-match markets carry more weighting.

At the end of a match, you can check your summary card to see how many Lootboxes you’ve won, and optionally **reveal** their rarity.

{% hint style="info" %}
By tapping **Reveal**, you’ll see the rarity of your Lootboxes. However, you won’t be able to open them until after the Final.
{% endhint %}

## Lootboxes and Rarity

Lootboxes contain USDT, the amount of which is determined by their **rarity**. In order of ascending value, these are categorized as:

* Common
* Uncommon
* Rare
* Epic
* Legendary

The USDT value of these remains a secret until they’re opened post-Final. Evidently, the rarer the box, the greater the prize.

### Special Boxes

Regular Lootboxes aren’t all you’ll find, though. If you’re lucky, you’ll come across a **Special Box** — a box containing fixed-value prizes:

* Steam Gift Cards ($50)
* Riot Points ($100)
* Razer Huntsman ($200)
* Secretlab Worlds Edition Chair ($700)
* Riftbound x T1 2025 Champion Signature Edition ($2,000)

Where a Special Box is won, Predict will provide its cash value in USDT.

### Opening Lootboxes

Lootboxes will be opened on **November 15**. You don’t need to take any action to do so – this is an automatic process, with your USDT deposited directly to your Predict account.
