### Fees

Makers pay **no fee** on Predict. Takers pay anywhere from **0.018%** to **2%**, depending on share price and whether a **10%** **fee discount** is active.

#### Taker fee schedule

*The table below shows the price per share/contract.*

Taker fees are calculated using the following formula:

$$
\text{Raw Fee}
\= \text{Base Fee } % \times \min\bigl(\text{Price},, 1 - \text{Price}\bigr) \times \text{Shares}
$$

So, for a share priced at **$0.2**, with a base fee of 2%:

* A **single share** will cost 0.02 x $0.2 x 1 = **$0.004**
* **100 shares** will cost 0.02 x $0.2 \* 100 = **$0.4**

The percentage fee can be calculated as follows:

$$
\text{Percentage Fee}
\= \frac{\text{Raw Fee (at given Price, Contracts, and Base Fee)}}{\text{Price} \times \text{Contracts}}
$$

For a share price of $0.2, a base fee of 2% and 100 contracts:

**Percentage Fee** = $0.4 / ($0.2\*100) = 0.02 = **2%**

To apply the 10% fee discount, simply multiply either the **Raw Fee** or **Percentage Fee** by 0.9.

The chart below demonstrates how the taker fee adjusts:
